Yes and no. It's programmed and acts according to its programming; it will not answer any questions that will jeopardize the Russian's plans, but it has shown some personality.

Considers its own powers quite impressive, and it has said it doesn't wish to kill us because it'd be without a function. Says it has no interest in spying on us, and vastly prefers the word creator to 'Master'. [ among other things. She gets the idea ]

However, it has clearly stated its own want is irrelevant. imPorts are all to be kept alive. If possible.

So convincing it to defect is unlikely.

Is Hinami with you? [She hopes not. She doesn't deserve to be kidnapped... And keeping her secret for days in a cramped space would not be easy.]

Sabriel, LACKEY has told me our abduction is not the only action being taken by the Russians. It has also told me it has more functions, but did not disclose them. It has also told me USA will not retain the remaining imPorts for much longer.

Try guessing at what it's functions are. If it can bring people into this world like the Porter, or give people powers, this will be a mess.

Good. Has it said what its purpose was? Magicman thinks finding out its limits and purpose will be useful.

Also, ask for its opinion on things- humans, Russians, Americans, imPorts, anything. The more we learn about it, the better.

when I asked it why it chose these specific 50 imPorts, it said "ImPorts are imPorts, I didn't see why it would make a difference" regarding which should come.

Regarding purpose, it told me that it could see imPorts and pick us out in a crowd and put us anywhere it wants us to. "I only look for what I need to find when I need to find it" was something it said, as well. The Russians wanted us so grabbing us is its current purpose. [ a pause ] I will ask if it has another, though.

I see. Magicman- he's an AI, and a friend of mine- says that we should ask it more about what it wants. Give it lots and lots of varied data, and its personality may grow beyond Russian programming. Keep talking to it, even when you don't have questions.

Also- is it restricted to one device, or can it transfer itself to other ones- try playing on its ego for this one. Tell it there are imPort AI who can move from device to device, if you think it's worth leaking the information.

Alright, I'll see what I can do. it did seem to have some ego, but I don't know how much that is just the Russians being proud.

Also, Sabriel, isn't the USA government able to track us, with the tattoo and nanites? Before, whenever we went out of the country, our tattoos would turn "AWOL", so they should know where we are, right? [ the nanites are working, or else Kaneki and Sabriel wouldn't be able to communicate like this ]
