[ Shepard nods, his shoulders relaxing a little once he recognizes her voice, before he straightens. ]

Right. It's about Holt. [ He clears his throat, slightly. ] It looks like he was charged on two different occasions -- one for treason and one for crimes against humanity. I don't think the treason is hard to figure out -- anyone who opposed the government would be guilty of that, back then. The second one, I don't know.

I couldn't find a lot of information about it, but apparently he was given a full pardon and no one really holds it against him.

I agree- Holiday and everyone else who opposed them probably has that same charge somewhere in their history.

Crimes against humanity though... were many people charged with that back then, or was it something unique to him? [From what Sabriel had seen of the past, any charges laid by the government of the time were suspect, but to accuse him of something so dire suggested they saw him as a serious threat.]

Do you know when he was charged, and when the pardon was issued?

I couldn't find much more information about when it happened. I think it's a safe guess to say it was just around the time we saw. And I think even the government couldn't charge him with something like that unless there was proof he was involved in something big. [ He pauses, frowning. ]

Did you find anything that could have been connected to that?

[ He hadn't seen anything, but well... he'd essentially been in a box the whole time, after all. ]

There's something else. It looks like whatever caused the hallucinations was a signal broadcasted to all imPort nanites. It's just a theory, but it must have been some kind of transmitter. I'm looking into who could have been responsible, and there are a few names, but only one with the background to pull something like that off.
