Commander Sabriel? This is Ashley Williams, formerly of the Systems Alliance Navy and the Office of Special Tactics and Reconnaissance. [In case either of those mean anything to her from working with Jacob.] Could you tell me about the qualification process to join RISE?

Members of RISE need to pass a psychological exam, run an obstacle course, and demonstrate the ability to handle themselves in a fight without their powers. [All of which can be oocly handwaved.]

You're part of the same military as Jacob, aren't you?

[There's the edge of a chuckle at "a fight without their powers" - since getting this stupid power, she's only really used it in a fight once - but Ashley catches herself before the laugh becomes full blown.]

Sounds good. And yes, we were both in the Alliance Navy - both assigned to the same planet at one point, but we didn't work together, and our tours on the same warship were at different times. I'm a Lieutenant Commander, been a marine for ten years.
