[ her spells did their work and still she doesn't trust this shit. cassian couldn't reassure her either, she just isn't built to trust magic, and so despite having magic to fall back on in this case, she still doesn't use it. instead, she is beating these creatures up with human strength and the invincibility of youth.
besides, what is the worst that could happen? she dies? okay, well, been there, done that, maybe degar will give her a tee shirt this time.
the electricity gives her an idea though. ]
Cover me for a minute! [ before sabriel can answer, jyn is darting forward toward a barrel of water that had traveled with the group on the road. ]
[ jyn has a plan. it's very stupid, but it sure is a plan! flipping the barrel on its side, she rolls it into the middle of a cluster of the creatures before she holds her hand out and hurls a bubble of acid at the barrel as she hauls ass back to sabriel. it explodes on impact, dissolving the wood until the water splashes out, mixing with the acid as it spreads across the grass, shimmering a sickly green with the magic as it splashes and sloshes across all the nearby creatures. the water dilutes the acid to the point that it doesn't so much as singe them, but the acid wasn't the point.
the point is what jyn shouts as she runs back. ]
Lightning! Acidified water conducts electricity, you can get them all!
[But Sabriel doesn't need to be told twice. Aiming her sword, she sends another jolt of electricity at the water.
The effects are... shocking. Monsters convulse, and shriek, falling to the ground as Sabriel casts the spell again, and again, suddenly thankful indeed for lacking her death-sense. But this is a fight they need to survive, and it's not like any points are awarded for playing fair.]
with the monsters either dead, dying, or incapacitated, there is a brief lull in their area of violence. surely it will end quickly enough, but it's still a lull. a brief moment of kriffing peace.
but jyn knows peace doesn't last and as she skids to a stop next to sabriel, she starts pulling bottles out of her bag. they're not potions, but bottles of alcohol, the hardest stuff she could find and they cost a pretty penny. undrinkable now that she's added lantern oil.
she holds one out to sabriel, pulling out a roll of makeshift bandages scavenged from scraps of fabrics. ] Here. Stuff it in the neck of the bottle. Firebombs.

If Jyn's got a plan, or needs to retreat- in either case, Sabriel can hold ground for a little longer.]
