Hey. Talked to Viveca about that idea we discussed, seeing if we could have an emergency escape rope in case of disaster. Sounds like as much as Viveca would love to set that up, she isn't sure it's possible. Basically, it's the orbs that do the teleporting, and she doesn't have nearly enough control over any of it. Once we're there, if the orbs aren't satisfied, they won't bring us back. If we all die, that's just more chaos they get to enjoy.
Best she could think of is that Degar might be able to work something with his magic if it got really desperate, but let's just say she didn't sound optimistic about the chances of that working.
Well, I could try sharing Remi's notes with him, but- the station is well protected, and deliberately hard to get to. Given we're trying to seal away the orbs permanently, and make sure no one can reach them...
Well, I can't blame them for taking security seriously.
I agree. I wish I knew more about the security of the station in case anything were ever to happen to either of them, but I also imagine they don't want people looking for holes in the system to exploit.
In any case, you might talk to Degar, then. Or you and several others, see if there's enough magic all around to think something up.
That had me wondering, too. Not so untouchable. But I wonder if that particular hole's already been shored up somehow now that they're aware of it.
We have at least two people who can communicate directly with their minds right now, right? Blue and Eleven? Wonder if they could help test that out. ... And that then also makes me wonder if they've tried to communicate directly with Viveca that way. It really seems like she's more human than not, even if she's trapped in the body of a machine.
